First, we would like to thank WeWork and meetup.com for providing the comfortable and centrally located space for our meeting.
Participants discussed their latest Joomla projects and how they are getting their website clients.
As a side note, we talked about Joomla 4 and the fact that it will incorporate considerable new technology and is anticipated for release near the end of 2019.
Our meeting focused on Joomla core's customs fields which was introduced in Joomla version 3.7.
Olivier Buisard demonstrated a lot of it's functionality.
In addition Olivier praised the Advanced Customs Fields Joomla extension from Tassos Marinos at tassos.gr and reviewed a few of its features. Stewart Newfeld was especially excited about the custom video fields and plans to purchase the extension and demonstrate use of the custom Youtube video field at our next meeting.
We finally discussed the possibility of having a future joint meeting with Long Island Joomla users in Floral Park Long Island which is a 45 minute LIRR ride from Penn Station.
